REUSE, an annual exhibition whereby community members come together to recreate innovative design solutions from scrap and waste materials to promote eco-friendly living, cordially invites aspiring creative professionals / students to submit proposals for our “Mixed Media Module”. The goal of this segment is to raise awareness for the environment, promote recycling, and highlight the importance of waste management to the community.
Towards this end, your challenge is to be able to convey this message through your work – applying principles / techniques that are synonymous with the field of Biomimicry (an emerging discipline that studies nature’s best ideas and then imitates these designs and processes to solve human problems). Participating in REUSE 4.0 will be a great opportunity for you to learn from nature, clearly defining the organism and/or ecosystem that inspired your innovation and demonstrate your environmental stewardship.
REUSE 4.0 will be constructed and hosted on the premises of The Australian College in Kuwait in January of 2011. To learn more about how you can participate in REUSE 4.0 and be our Grand Prize winner download our “Participant Brief” here.
REUSE is one of several platforms devised by The en.v Initiative to engage the general public and is a carbon-neutral exhibition.
