Kuwait, 2nd December 2009: The en.v Initiative, an organization dedicated to social responsibility in the Arab world, announces that they will host ‘REUSE’, a recycled art exhibition, for the third consecutive year in Kuwait. REUSE 3.0 will be held at The Avenues mall in Al Rai from the 7th to the 9th of December 2009 under the patronage of Dr. Aseel Al Awadi (Member of Parliament) and Dr. Rola Dashti (Member of Parliament).
REUSE 3.0 will serve as an opportunity for non-profit organizations, companies, professionals and aspiring creative talents to showcase their accomplishments in the fields of art, design, photography and more using scrap materials found in Kuwait. The exhibition will be open to the general public from 6pm to 9pm in addition to private school visits from 9am to 1pm.
After successful shows in 2007 and 2008, The en.v initiative (a subsidiary of http://www.elboutique.com) have teamed up with Zain, a leading mobile telecommunications provider in the Middle East and Africa, to promote greater awareness in Kuwait for the importance and benefits of recycling.
Zain took a lead role in supporting REUSE 3.0 in 2009; ‘We are excited to sponsor REUSE for the second year,’ said Waleed Al-Khashti, Zain’s Corporate Communications and Relations Department Manager in Kuwait.
It is part of Zain’s commitment to support environmental initiatives. Zain’s Kuwait office is a strong supporter of recycling programs and has initiated a range of local projects to generate more awareness of the importance of waste management.
Zahed Al Sultan, managing partner and CEO of The en.v Initiative said: ‘ We feel very enthusiastic about organizing REUSE 3.0 alongside Zain this year, not to mention hosting it at The Avenues. The significant interest shown by youth and companies in participating at REUSE is testament to a growing demand for greater responsibility and action to be taken within our community.’
Global Investment House and Siemens are also amongst the leading companies supporting REUSE 3.0, using the exhibition as a platform to generate awareness for their unique green initiatives. For more information please contact:
